In the moments before a decision is made, there’s uncertainty. Doubt. Possibility. New City College wanted to meet students in that space, at the crossroads of what if? and what next?
I was tasked to write, direct and produce a brand film that could speak not just to the head, but to the heart. A film that didn’t tell students what to do, but showed them who they could become.
Told through the eyes of Maya - a fictional student on the cusp of a big decision, the story mirrors the emotional journey many young people go through. From quiet moments of hesitation to bold steps into the unknown, Maya’s experience becomes a metaphor for what New City College offers: new environments, new opportunities, new confidence.
Shot across five campuses and featuring real students and staff, the campaign brings to life the breadth of courses, facilities and communities available at NCC, from immersive labs and simulation wards, to enrichment fairs, kitchens, studios and sports halls.
As Maya finds her place, her voice, and her people, the message becomes clear: This isn’t just college. This is the start of something new.
