University of Leicester - Founders of the Future.

After an ambitious, future facing brief from University of Leicester, Clearhead was commissioned to create a flagship campaign film built around a single question. What responsibility do we hold for the people who will inherit the world in 2121. Founders of the Future is rooted in a simple truth. There are human beings alive today who will see that future. Rather than predicting what the world might become, the film follows one life. From first breath to adulthood. Through moments of care, discovery, creativity, protest, failure and hope, the story keeps returning to the same idea. Who will be there for them.

I co directed the film and developed the creative concept and storyboard to keep the idea human at every level. Science, health, culture, education and justice are shown not as institutions, but as lived experience. A newborn’s eye becomes the Earth. A petri dish mirrors the planet. Global crises collapse into quiet, everyday moments. The film moves fluidly across hospitals, labs, libraries, parks, kitchens, sports tracks and galleries. Handheld. Close. Grounded. Designed to be felt before it is understood.

The result is a cinematic, emotionally led campaign that positions the University of Leicester not as a predictor of the future, but as a steward of it. An institution focused on care, responsibility and long term impact. 2121 is the future. And the foundations we lay now will shape it.
